Yesterday was the most beautiful day in my life! I still can't belive that the most beautiful aircraft in the world is now in Basel! As the others before me I also want to thank all who have helped to get the Connie to Europe! Regarding the website I want to say, that we will work on it up from tomorrow. We will solve the problems, add new pictures and News. Thank you for your patience. We are all a little bit tired of preparing the whole event from yesterday ;-) Best wishes, Richi

To all S.C.F.A. crew and volunteers today in basle Thank you sooo much for your combined effort spirit and motivation to make this very special and unrepeatable day for all of us happening. We showed to ourselves and the public that we are able to achive what we want to achieve. Now we have to take advantage of our own "momentum" and move forward with a lot of "blood sweat and tears" to the many fascinating events that are laying ahead of us. Keep the spirit up and moving! Hi folks, dear friends of the SCFA My sincerest congratulations go to the SCFA crew and their members which have made this moment come true when this morning, almost 33 years after the last Super Constellation had left Basel-Mulhouse airport a Lockheed L-1049 touched down on runway 26 of Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg airport. Although the weather was not playing its part, the view of this magnificent airliner touching down and then slowly taxiing back to the Swiss maintenance area was a moving moment for us all. Thanks to the perseverence of Francisco Agullo and his friends we are now able not only to recall on our reminisciences but to rejuvenate them by taking part in this great project. May this aircraft be blessed to carry many more enthusiats and passengers to all parts of the world as long as avgas 100LL remains available! I may have lost faith in this project at one time, today it was fully restored. Peter

Many many thanks once again for choosing Prestwick as your landfall airport after the Atlantic crossing. Great to see and hear such a magnificant aircraft once again. Thanks for the flypast on arrival guys giving us the superb opportunity of a flying and landing shot. If the slides all come out i will have day, night, flying, landing, start up and take off shots to remind us of your historic visit. Fondly remember the MATS aeroplanes using the Stephenville- Prestwick route on a daily basis in the early 1960's. Such memories you have stirred. All the best for a successful future fot N73544 and yourselves. Alex

Hello all! This is Jason, I was in Stephenville, NF when the Connie came through. It was spectacular. I want to extend my thanks to all the crew and guests of the Connie for everything. I had a great time with you full of discovery and excitement. Francisco, Pat, Jerry, and Bob, you are a very professional crew with knowledge of your aircraft that is unsurpassed! I will never forget that. Carlos, where would that plane go without you? Haha! I look forward to seeing you all again. I'm very happy to see you all made it the rest of the way on your journey. Have a safe time there! Oh, and us in the US Air Force that were in Stephenville, NF during your stay...well we are finally home with all of our aircraft in the right locations now. And you are right about the Stephenville people, there are none better in the world. The nicest, most helpful people. Willing to do anything! Jason
