Hello crew, I just got back home to California last night and I can’t stop thinking about what’s going on over there. Carlos, when you warned the crew what it would be like when they arrived, I know nobody fully understood. I still can’t believe what I saw. I’m so happy the Swiss hold you all in such high regard, you certainly deserve it. Benny, Francisco, Jerry, Carlos, and Bob you all truly made feel welcome, I can’t thank you enough, I really hope I get another chance to get to know you all better, (except for you Bob, that would be scary). Francisco, I can’t say that I have ever met a nicer, more genuine and sincere man in all my life. Patrick, thank you so much for the kind words about my father, I’m so glad you have come to know the real him. Dad, I love you more than you will ever know, everything I have, they way my kids are and as tight as my marriage is with Nancy, I owe it all to you … your reaction when I surprised you in Basel will stick with me forever.

According to http://www.worldairnews.ch/, the 'Breitling' Connie will attend the Airshow of the Dutch Airforce on June 18th and 19th at Volkel Airbase in the Netherlands. As I am living in the heart of Holland, I am very curious to this. Who knows more or can confirm this rumour ? Kind regards, Klaas Sluijs Utrecht, The Netherlands

Congratulations on your successful ferrying operation. I saw N73544 numerous times when I made trips from LA to Santa Barbara in the 1990s, before it was restored. I flew five times on Flying Tiger Super Connies in 1962 (at age 10!). Two of those were trans-Atlantic flights. We made one of those flights (Gander-Schiphol) most of the way on 3 engines. I have loved the Connie ever since those days. There is nothing like a Connie takeoff! I hope someday that either this Connie or the MATS Connie will come to our air show here in Westminster, Maryland USA.

Congratulations on your succcessful completation to return a Super Connie to Switzerland and to be able to see the aircraft flying with in Europe. Your internet sight has been and hopefully continue to be very interesting. Many propliner fans of the connie will hope to be able to see or be lucky enough to fly in the aircraft at sometime in the future. Many people will look forward to hearing future visits to other places not already mentioned on your site.

Merci d'avance, Patrick Danalet
