As an associate of the Vibro-Meter Inc. organization based at the Manchester, NH airport you made the high point of the day. There is no sound like four large radials and there is nothing that compares to the sight of a Connie in a low altitude pass. THANK YOU!, THANK YOU! for for letting me witness the event!! Keep that gracious bird flying so all can experience the the golden age of air travel.

Hi Folks ! This mythical aircraft used to « ship » only high dignitaries and kindred VIP’s but I have just heard my very good friend Michel Kellenberger, a famous Swiss TV journalist, (who does not appear to belong either to the Swiss aristrocratic circles or the to mighty industrial tycoons) has been accepted onboard your Starliner (as a well behaved passenger) on your trip from Camarillo to Le Bourget. To tell you the Truth and nothing but the Truth: you chose the right + best passenger-reporter for that exclusive TV news assignment! Nevertheless, I would not allow him to handle the joystick all by himself or decide on the route back to Europe (although he does have some knowledge of navigation on the Lake Léman.) It must be quite a new experience for him. He is indeed more familiar with driving his poney-drawn tilbury on the dirt roads along the woods around Yens s/Morges. On the other hand, he would be very efficient – if politely requested to - at carrying oil cannisters and other bulky or heavy equipment. Would be most useful too at entertaining young attractive stewardesses clad in their beautiful uniforms (if you have any of either on board). Could even learn hastily how to handle a monkey wrench...should an emergency happen. Congratulations to you all for that historical trip ! Wilbur and Orville Wright, Lindbergh and all the other aviation pioneers would be proud of your brave and adventurous flight. A great mechanical achievement too taking us back to the Fifties when “horseless-aircraft” would cruise the blue skies before Sir Frank Whittle (ever heard of him? ) introduced his new jet-engines... Our best wishes to you all !And a very special thought to that brave old Connie! No doubt she will make it. And please don’t scold her for producing a few whiffs of smoke along the way. Down with the neurotic eco-maniacs ! Yours friendly Peter Lorne

Great to see that you are making such great progress. All the Connie fans here at Prestwick are looking forward to your arrival. I think you will have quite a crowd to greet you. If I dont get the chance to meet you on Sunday, I'll come over and say Hi at the Berlin Show later in the month. Safe flight over the pond.

Bon vol retour !
