Merry Christmas and a happy new year, and for a long future always happy landings. Thank you for the last season, was always great to look at your aircraft. I was at the HAM Airport Days as the "Crew-Guide" of the DC-6 "G-APSA" and had the luck to be in the cockpit during the formation-flight to follow the Superconstellation. - very, very great feeling - !!! In 1938 a distant flight from the USSR to the USA was made.The flight was made over the ter ritories of Norwey,Finland and Iceland.Having overpassed the distance of 9000km the plane landed in the Miskow island(the territory of the USA ov Canada?) On DB-3(distant bomber) several world records in carrying capacity to the height of 1 to 2 km wereset.DB-3 was used during the winter conflict between the USSR and Finland in 1939-1940 Some trophy DB-3 planes were used by Finland up to 1945. During the first months of the German invasion on the territory of the USSR,somme reids to Berlin were made from the islands in the Baltic sea,that had not been occupied yet. Later,in some combatant forses,DB-3 substifuted by a more modification DB-3f(IL-3). This modification is a bomber variant. You interesting DB-3?

Un super souvenir de ce vol au dessus des alpes au départ de Genève. Une passionnante discussion avec Carlos Gomez en espagnol qui m'a démontré(s'il le fallait) l'amour qu'il a pour les avions à hellices,bref bravo et merci messieurs. José

Hallo an alle Mitglieder, auf der diesjährigen Veterama in Mannheim wurde mir das Modell einer Super Constellation angeboten. Elektrisch betrieben (Propeller, Antrieb + Lichter), lackiert als Flying Dutchman, sehr guter Zustand - alles funktioniert. Der aufgerufene Preis war 700 Euro, für 600 würde er sie wohl hergeben. Für mich nicht interressant - aber vielleicht will ja einer der anderen Supporter oder Mitglieder zuschlagen. Bei Interesse gebe ich gerne die Adresse weiter. Grüße Arndt PAULI

Je recherche le plan de vol ou tout autre renseignement technique de l'avion qui c'est écrasé contre le Mont-Blanc au Rocher de la Tourette, le 3 novembre 1950 vers 1045, soit le "Malabar Princess" de la Compagnie Air-India. Je désire refaire ce vol à l'identique, dans le but de comprendre ce qui c'est passé. Je ne recherche pas les écrits romancés ou autres fabulations. Merci de me contacter si vous désirez m'aider. Liebe SCAFA-Crew: Darf ich zwei Webseiten-Anliegen, die ich habe, über diesen Weg an den "Mann bringen"? 1. Ich habe in der Simulator-Forumseite mein Passwort als vergessen gemeldet, aber keine Antwort erhalten. Normalerweise klappt solches innert kurzer Zeit. Ich hätte mich an der Diskussion um die Wiederbelebung des beliebten MSFS-Simulators beteiligen wollen. Ohne Passwort kann ich mich auch nicht per E-mail an die Forumsleitung wenden.... 2. Die sog. "Aktuellen News" werden nicht nachgeführt. Es ist immer noch als neueste Meldung drin, dass sie Connie demnächst eine Schweizer Registreierung erhält. Beste Wünsche Peter

Habitant vers l'aéroport de Cointrin, côté 23 pour les connaisseurs, j'ai l'occasion de voir cette merveille décoller et atterrir quelques fois. A chaque fois, j'ai un souvenir de mon enfance qui revient à mon esprit (j'ai 63 ans!). J'ai vu cet avion à l'aéroport, lorsqu'il était en service régulier sur diverses lignes (TWA, Air-India, etc...). Je ne suis pas pilote, mais grâce au simulateur de vol, je peux, moi aussi piloter cet appareil. C'est un vrai plaisir. Bravo à ceux qui ont tout fait pour sauver cette merveille.

Hallo Star of Switzerland-Crew Ich durfte als Crew-Captain auf den Hamburg Airport Days die Königin der Lüft aus nächster Nähe und sogar im Fluge erleben. Ich kann sagen, es gibt nur ein Wort dafür: WUNDERBAR. Auch wenn diese 3 Tage voller Stress, Anspannung, Hektik und wenig Schlaf bestanden, der Flug hat alles wieder gut gemacht. Herzlichen Dank dafür und ich hoffe auf ein baldiges Wiedersehen. Always happy landings Wolfgang

à Francisco Bonjour , j' ai trouvé sur ce site des anciens apprentis mécaniciens de l' école de Vilgénis A.F. On last 8 october I was on the flights from Geneva to Dole and from Dole to Basle, it was my fourth time I flew on the Connie and I must say that they were two fantastic flights thanks to the beauty of the panorama, the sound of the four engines and also the sunset. It was magic.! Thanks to all the crew and to all the people who work to keep this dream alive.. I will continue supporting the association in any way. MARIO BUSNELLI - ITALY

Et bien me voici presque comblée ce dimanche je l'ai touché, regardé sous tous les angles on m'a même dit que j'étais mûre pour rejoindre l'équipe, quel charmant monsieur, et l'hôtesse une fille super géniale, la cerise sur le gâteau c'était le pilote un amour ce Francisco je vous assure, merci pour tout. Je viens de rentrer du manège de Messery ou encore une fois j'ai eu l'immense plaisir de voir la star, j'ai agité un drap blanc en signe de respect pour cet avion de légende, son doux ronron me met les larmes aux yeux, nous l'aimons et le respectons. Bon j'arrête là mes divagations. Mais encore un gros merci aux pilotes de passer en dessus de ma tête.
